When I became treasurer in 1997, I immediately recognized that a web site would be an ideal tool to let people know about PLU’s history, goals and upcoming events. I went about designing the site from scratch, with a few simple buttons and some good use of color and contrast (select examples from thumbnails on right).
After the public launch of the site in 1997, PLU’s web master has been in charge of upkeep and design decisions. And not surprisingly, things start to go wrong when nobody on the executive board has any clue how to work in HTML. Fortunately, the current board has resorted back to my original version. Amazing, if you think how many eons ago I designed the site!

Bright Launch combines beautiful photography, compelling content and exceptional visual design to create a web presence that delivers results. We believe that the ultimate strength of any website lies in the richness of its content and the degree to which it invites visitors to interact, bookmark, and return again.
Bright Launch develops websites that stand the test of time. Normally, companies go through a major website renovation once a year. The PLU website, as many other of my creations (Curran Research Group), are still featuring my initial design - more than eight years later on the web.
Let Bright Launch develop your website, and be assured that its layout will still be relevant in several years. Overall, an excellent use of your money!
