John Richard’s group at SUNY Buffalo focuses on the mechanisms of enzyme-catalyzed reactions and the reactions of small molecules in solution that may provide insight into enzyme catalysis. Although John has been well know among his peers, his group nevertheless didn’t have a website. To change this, John turned to the proven skills of Bright Launch.

Bright Launch combines beautiful photography, compelling content and exceptional visual design to create a web presence that delivers results. We believe that the ultimate strength of any website lies in the richness of its content and the degree to which it invites visitors to interact, bookmark, and return again.
Many professors realize that these days you’ve got to have a website to attract good students. Sure, you could buy all the software and start designing a site yourself. But, do you have the time to do a good job? And, do you have the artistic vision to put together a great website that convinces visitors that you are all business? Here’s where you can bring in Bright Launch. We make it happen, and we can tell you where you get the freeware software to take site maintenance into your own hands.
As Professor Richard can tell you, updating your website is not rocket-science. Bright Launch will work with you, on your schedule, to accomplish your vision. We have experience in training novices to update their sites, and by-and-large, our clients are surprised how easy it is – particularly with the templates used by Bright Launch.

As with many of our projects, the design of John’s site was a very defined task. Most of the content was available from the outset, and what was left for John and our designers was to pick a new design, a new color scheme, and a font set. Once this was established, Bright Launch put together a site in about a week.
Finally, as most of the layout was set, we provided instruction on how John would go about updating the site himself, using Macromedia Contribute.
