While I am not a regular reader of the Real Simple monthly, I came across three articles during a recent Google search, all dealing with identity theft. I am linking to them in this category, since they give you straight answers, without the marketing fluff, spelling out the little things to watch out for.

• Avoiding Identity Theft features a comprehensive set of simple strategies that reduce the leaking of your personal information. This multipart series covers many issues, and provides easy-to-implement solutions.
• More Ways to Stop Privacy Leaks takes a look at the many situations where you unknowingly share your personal information, and provides you with suggestions on how to stop it.
• What to Do If Your Identity Has Been Stolen is an article that you hopefully won’t have to read after implementing the strategies in the previous article. However if you do, count on a comprehensive outline detailing the necessary steps to take once your identity has been compromised.
